‘Neither Gloaming Nor Argent: Both Before And After The Dark' is a collection of 10 rap singles and their instrumentals recorded in Algernon Cornelius’s bedroom and released between 2017-2020. From the opening alarm of Stress, the sea-sick post-brexit shanty of Super 89 Peshwari Naan, the pertinently thundering punk ditty of Gentrify ME! to the relentless freestyle Nudge Theory, the lucid foggy bounce of Notes On A Native Sound and the swaggering redemptive finale that is Witchita. Half of these songs were recorded during the UK's first lockdown period in 2020,both before and after the dark.
